Jerusalem

Our first day in Israel begins with a 10:00 am departure to attend services at Jerusalem Assembly.  Afterward, we will enjoy lunch and then visit the grave of Michael Levin on Mt. Herzel.  Michael grew up in Philadelphia, PA and moved to Israel after high school to serve in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).  He had no family in Israel and therefore was a lone soldier in the IDF.  Michael was killed in the 2006 Lebanon War defending Israel.  We will return to the hotel for an afternoon of free time and dinner. Dinner & overnight at Dan Panorama Jerusalem Hotel.

Sunday 06 April, 2025

Jerusalem

We begin each day at 8:00 am in the hotel with devotions for a spiritual challenge, prayer, a debrief of the previous day’s visits, and a look ahead to today’s stops.  We will depart the hotel at 9:00 am each morning unless noted otherwise.  Our stops for today are to humanitarian organizations supported by our Israel Relief Funds.  We begin with to visit the Magen David Adom Station in Jerusalem, the nerve center for emergency calls.  It dispatches ambulances and medicycles to respond to medical emergencies while also collecting blood for Israel’s national blood supply.  Next, we’ll visit the Michael Levin Lone Soldier Base. It was started by friends of Michael Levin, an American who came to Israel at age 18 and joined the IDF.  He was killed fighting in Lebanon in 2006 carrying the dream to one day create a center to support lone soldiers.  His friends made that dream come true and today the Base provides care, counseling and assistance to IDF lone soldiers – soldiers who have no family in Israel.  Our final stop for the day is a visit to Be’ad Chaim to learn about this pro-life ministry and Project Moses.  Be’ad Chaim provides hope that empowers women to choose life for their unborn children. Their amazing work includes counseling for those hurting from Post Abortion Syndrome (PAS), shelter for homeless mothers, and supplying practical needs for new babies.  If time permits, we will spend time visiting the open-air Mahaneh Yehudah Market, otherwise known as the Shuk Market, with over 250 vendors. Dinner & overnight at Dan Panorama Jerusalem Hotel.

Jerusalem

Following Devotions, we will meet with the Jerusalem Institute of Justice (JIJ) at our hotel.  JIJ was begun many years ago by a Jewish Messianic believer to help those who can’t afford legal services with issues of injustice.  They will provide us with a briefing of the vital work they have been engaged with since October 7th, to help many who were affected by the attack with legal matters.  We will leave the hotel and head up the street from out hotel to visit the historic Jewish Agency for Israel Jerusalem Headquarters.  The Jewish Agency is the primary organization that handles Jewish immigration and support for Jewish communities the world over.  Following the attack on October 7th, the Jewish Agency immediately began assisting victims of terror and those who were displaced.  Our journey takes us to the Old City of Jerusalem for lunch and a visit to the Western Wall and a walk through the old city.  We’ll continue on to the Mt. of Olives for an inspiring picturesque view of the Temple Mount and old City of Jerusalem. Dinner & overnight at Dan Panorama Jerusalem Hotel.

Jerusalem - Tel Aviv

Following devotions, we will check out of the Dan Panorama Jerusalem Hotel.  We will make a short stop to visit the U. S. Embassy on our way to visit Jerusalem Assembly House of Redemption (JA), a church that is led by Meno Kalisher, our Israeli Field Director.  The Jerusalem Assembly is a growing church with a vital ministry in the city of Jerusalem.  In 2022 they planted a sister church in a suburb of Jerusalem.  We will leave Jerusalem and drive to our next visit, Tsad Kadima, which means ‘a step forward’.  It is the Association for Conductive Education in Israel that works to educate and rehabilitate children and adults with cerebral palsy and motor skill disabilities.  Our journey takes us on to the city of Ariel, a growing community in Biblical Samaria that is an example of how Jews and Arabs can work together for a better life.  We will learn about the community and see some of the programs we support in Ariel.  After we depart Ariel, we’ll drive to our hotel for the next three days, the Dan Panorama Tel Aviv, and check-in. https://www.danhotels.com/TelAvivHotels/DanPanoramaTelAvivHotel

Tel Aviv

After our morning devotions, and head south to visit the Israel Defense Forces Yahalom Unit at their base near Gaza to learn about their vital role and the support we have given to them.  Our next stop is the Nova Music Festival Memorial.  It is a moving experience to visit the site where 369 people were murdered on the morning of October 7, 2023.  Another stop will take us to visit the Vehicle Memorial to 1,200 vehicles that were damaged and burnt during the terrorist attack.  Our last stop is a visit to the Rehovot Assembly Kahila church led by two messianic believers who are on staff with FOI, Jack Kurtz and Adi Lekovich.  It is located 35 miles north of Gaza on a kibbutz in the city of Rehovot. FOI has also placed bomb shelters on the kibbutz in Rehovot to protect the residents from missile threats.  After our visit, we will ascend to the city of Jerusalem. Dinner & overnight at Dan Panorama Tel Aviv Hotel

Thursday 10 April, 2025

Tel Aviv

We begin the day with devotions. We head north to to visit Leket, the national food bank of Israel, located a few miles north of Tel Aviv.  Leket is the Hebrew word for ‘gleaning’.  It is a volunteer organization that collects, stores, sorts, prepares and delivers food to the needy in Israel.  We will volunteer to sort food for an hour, so please wear closed-toe shoes and be prepared for moderately strenuous activity in comfortable clothing. You may get dirty.  We’ll stop for lunch and hear a geopolitical briefing on Israel and the Middle East from Major Elliot Chodoff.  Our next stop takes further north to the Zevulun Regional Council, located near Haifa, to see the bomb shelters we placed.  Working with Lifeshield, headed by Rabbi Shmuel Bowman, exists to provide protection from missile attacks.  We have placed 100 shelters in critical locations throughout Israel to give a secure place to those under attack. Next, we return south to visit Beit Halochem, the disabled war veterans center in Tel Aviv.  Beit Halochem, which means ‘House of the Warriors’ in Hebrew, provides rehabilitation and support services to disabled IDF soldiers and their families. We return to the hotel to finish packing and prepare for our return to the U.S.  We will check out of the hotel at 6:00 pm and stop at a local restaurant for our Farewell Dinner where we will enjoy our final Israeli meal.  After dinner we will head to the Ben Gurion Airport to check-in for our return flight to the U.SFarewell Dinner, late check-out & overnight flight to the U.S.
